PLP Senators

Michael Halkitis is a member of the Senate on the PLP side.

He was elected to Parliament for the first time on May 2nd 2002, as the representative for the Adelaide Constituency.

He earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1991, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Prior to joining the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Halkitis enjoyed a career as an Analyst, Trader, Portfolio Manager and Private Banker. He is married to the former Dr. Tracy Roberts. They have one son.
