Allyson Maynard-Gibson
Allyson Maynard-Gibson was born in Nassau on January 11, 1957 to Sir Clement T. Maynard and Lady Zoe Maynard (nee Cumberbatch).
She received her education at Barry University (BSc Hons), Miami, Fl; London School of Economics & Political Science (LLB (Hons), LLM), Council of Legal Education and is a member of the Inner Temple, London, England. She was admitted to the Bar of the Bahamas and the Bar of England & Wales in 1980 and is a former Senior Partner of the firm Gibson & Co.
Mrs. Gibson is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the International Tax Planning Association, the Offshore Institute, The International Bar Association and the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Centre for International Legal Studies.
She is a member of Zonta (Freeport) and has served as a past-president of The Links Incorporated, Nassau chapter. An Anglican, Allyson is a long standing member of the Anglican Church Women, The Bahamas Women's Forum and is the founding director of the Yellow Elder Community Library Association and the Senior Citizen's Centre.
She is the former representative for the Pinewood Constituency and has served in The Right Honourable Perry G. Christie's Cabinet as Minister of Financial Services and Investments and Attorney General of The Bahamas.
Allyson is married to Maxwell E. Gibson and is the mother of two children.
