Forrester Carroll - Leadership Council
Forrester Carroll was born in Nassau Bahamas, November 4th 1943. He is the 3rd of 13 children born to Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Benjamin Carroll of Lower Deadman’s Cay, Long Island.
Mr. Carroll attended school at Our Lady’s Catholic School in Nassau, Lower Deadman’s Cay and NGM Major High on Long Island.
A former customs officer (1963-1978), Mr. Carroll is now a prominent businessman of 29 years in the Freeport, Grand Bahama community. He has been a supporter of the PLP since the 1950’s when his father pioneered the party's movement on Long Island as a contemporary of Sir Henry Milton Taylor, another Long Island native.
After retiring from the Customs Department in 1978, Mr. Carroll involved himself in the party’s machinery on Grand Bahama Island and served in many capacities since that time.
He has served as Chairman of the Pineridge branch; secured charter for and established the Lucaya branch in the newly created Lucaya constituency; served as it’s first chairman; NGC member for lucaya constituency; Secretary General for Grand Bahama PLP Council; appointed co-regional vice chairman for the party in the northern Bahamas; elected 3rd national vice-chairman and served on numerous committees. Mr. Carroll was the party’s standard-bearer for the Lucaya constituency in the 1997 general elections.
Mr. Carroll is married to the lovely Valencia Princess Carroll (nee: Wright). He has seven children, all adults. They include two adopted and two foster children.
