Vincent Peet was born in Stafford Creek, Andros on October 25, 1953 to Arthur Peet and the late Letis Neely.

Mr. Peet received his early education at Queen's College in Nassau, before persuing law studies at the University of the West Indies (LLB Hons), Barbados and in Jamaica at the Norman Manley Law School.

Mr. Peet was called to the Bar of the Bahamas in 1981 and served as crown counsel in the Office of the Attorney General from 1981 to 1984. A former Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party, Peet also served on the Real Property Tax Tribunal, the Housing Commission, the Town Planning Committee and was the Minister of Consumer Affairs under the late Sir Lynden Pindling from 1990 to 1992.

Vincent Peet currently represents the North Andros and Berry Islands constituency and served in the Christie cabinet as Minister of Labour, Immigration and Training.

He is the father of two children and is a member of the Methodist Church community. His interests include sports, reading and music.
