WHEN THE PLP SIGNED THE PROJECT, FINANCING WAS COMING FROM HARRAHS NOT THE CHINESE. HUBERT DROVE THE MAN OUT OF TOWN AND SO BAHMAR HAD TO TURN TO THE DEVIL FOR MONEY. IT'S INGRAHAM'S BABY, NOT THE PLP's.

PLP or FNM?

I agree with almost everyone here on the issue of Bahmar.

I am a PLP but it is very clear that the PLP and the FNM are going to go ahead with this deal despite voter consent.

In my personal opinion the PM should have called a referendum on the matter rather than bringing it to the oppossition.

I truly hope that our PLP politicians do realise that there can be a backlash from this.There are persons out there that is going to take it very personal if you look them over for the chinese worker.

The way I look at it is, if voting FNM means yes and the PLP doensnt stop it, then why vote for the PLP.The end result turns out to be the same.

Why didnt we say hey, we have thousands of undocumented workers in the country so offer the jobs to them and after the few years then deport them.Or atleast know who they are and where we can find them.

Then say to the Bahamian People this is how much we can pay, if you are interested apply if not then we have to look somewhere else.

The People vote you in how are we any better than them?They want to change the roads as they feel fit despite the residents of the area's constant complaints.They want to raise taxes despite the peoples objection.If we assist, stay silent or whatever way of trickery is in the political hat, then we are simply no better than them.

Say No, Mean No, and use your heads and figure out a way to do it with your people for God sake.

COME CLEAN

It would be nice, if the government and the opposition; come clean to the Bahamian people on this Bahar-mar deal. Obvious there is a smoke-screen here, with all this noise making about the 5000 Chinese work permits. From where I stand: this case already cut and dry. It's a done deal, and the Bahamian people will see, government and opposition vote in favour of this project whether the Bahamian electorate LIKE IT,WANT IT OR NOT.
